September 1st marks the 5th birthday of Joomla. As a member of the founding core team that split from Mambo back in 2005 this is a very special day for me. It doesn't seem possible that 5 years have passed already as they have simply flown by. Over the last couple of months we developed the new Warp 5.5 theme framework which is the new foundation of all our YOOtheme templates. In this time we have rewritten the complete Warp theme framework to make it more modular, flexible and also extendible. Currently all Warp 5 templates are updated and six more will follow in the next days so all our templates since 2009 run on the new framework. This means 20 templates will use Warp 5.5! A many of you know, we loooove using Mailchimp for our newsletters! But…the integration with Joomla honestly left us with more to wish for. Sure, it was possible to use Mailchimps API to do some nice things, but let’s face it, if you’re going to run a member-driven site, these things should be seamless.
